Every year, I usually go to my parents' place for a short vacation. This is one of the events my old folks usually wait for for the whole year, when all of their kids go home to visit them. I usually visit them during summer as this is the time when I have more extra time.
I can still remember May of last year which was my last visit. My father was so happy to see me get off the car and in his corduroy coat and favorite jeans, he met me with so much delight. Seeing his familiar face with that expression of great joy for seeing a person whom he loves and miss so much is such a great picture to always reminisce in time. I miss my folks but work brings us, me and my siblings to the big city. One of the things that I love so much every time I go there is my father's cooking. He really cooks great and even though I've been to many restaurants in the big city, no one compares with how yummy his dishes are. I can't wait to taste again his crispy pata, sizzling squid, hamonada and the sweet and sour fish. Oh so yummy!
One of the favorite places we usually go to when on vacation is the beautiful and enchanting Lulugayan falls. The strong flow of the waters from the top, splashing unto the bottom with its crystal clear waters are so inviting. My family just loves dipping our bodies into the water and loves how it makes us closer together.
Families are very important. Even how so busy our lives are, we should always give time to be with them once in a while. Nothing beats than a wholesome and quality time with our loved ones.
