Rockport, Texas is a city in the Aransas County, Texas. According to Wikipedia, the coastal community has a population of approximately 8,000 citizens. The Fulton Mansion is one of the most prominent landmarks of Rockport, Texas. It is a very historic place and according to www.museumsusa.org, it is now owned and operated by the Texas Historical Commission where it was purchased in 1976.
The Fulton manison was constructed by husband and wife George and Harriet Fulton. It is an 1870s French Second Empire Historic House Museum. It's collections include decorative arts and the Fulton family archives collection.
The Fulton Mansion is a perfect place for school educational and family tours. Other educational annual programs are the Ranching Heritage, Mansion Madness and the annual Christmas at the Mansion celebration.
