The highest waterfall in the world was accidentally discovered by a United States pilot named Jimmie Angel. In 1935, while on a gold hunt expedition, he accidentally flew over these falls and got amazed by its natural and enchanting beauty. This was later named as the Salto Angel Falls.
This magnificent falls is approximately 3212 feet (979 meters) in height. Its width at its base is around 500 feet. The "Rio Gauya" river can be found at the base of the Angel falls and the water flows up to the "Churun" river. Every single longest drop of the Angel falls is 2648 feet or approximately 807 meters.

This wonderful falls can be found in the south western region of Venezuela. The Angel falls is known to be three times the size of the Eiffel Tower while twenty times higher than the famous Niagara falls. It comes under the Canaima national park and is surrounded on its different sides by grasslands, mesas and tropical forests. There are also multiple rivers, smaller waterfalls, lagoons and savanna all over it.
The Angels falls has a number of caves, tunnels and canyons where the strong water that flows enters and comes out. It splits into a number of waterfalls during the rainy season. It is also known by two other names, Tulume Bena amd Big River Falls.
